Milestones and news concerning the Elbtower
Work has begun on constructing the bridge to Entenwerder. The bridge will connect HafenCity, Elbtower and Rothenburgsort.

In mid-December the Elbtower’s concrete foundations were finished, which means that structural engineering works can start soon.
Civil engineering works under the future Elbtower at the Elbbrücken bridges have been completed. Solid pile foundations now reach 75 metres deep into Hamburg’s soil.
Work on the Elbtower excavation pit enclosure was completed as scheduled in May. Following technical inspections, earthworks will shortly begin.
The City of Hamburg has granted the overall building permit for the Elbtower at the beginning of March 2022. Now construction can start at the end of the year. Currently, the excavation pit is being completed on the basis of a partial building permit.
